Breaking Dawn, the latest film to be adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s The Twilight Saga, was without a doubt the must-see movie of 2011, and its success is no surprise. Around the world breaths were held as Twilight fans waited for the epic moment when Bella Swan reunites with Edward to become Mrs Cullen. With hair-raising tension around every corner, Breaking Dawn is certainly the best of the three The Twilight Saga movies released so far.
One successful aspect of the film is the special effects, which are truly spectacular. The birth scene in particular is incredible, and Bella’s rebirth doesn’t disappoint either.
The camerawork also helps the viewer become totally immersed in the film. The variety of camera angles used offer different perspectives on the action, and this adds to the excitement, particularly at crucial moments in the film.
In addition to the technical aspects of Breaking Dawn, the acting is impressive. Kristen Stewart is totally believable as Bella, and Taylor Launtner, Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, Niki Reed and finally Billy Bruke are also very well cast.
Overall, director Bill Condon has done a fantastic job on Breaking Dawn; he’s left Twilight fans eagerly anticipating the next instalment.
